Information The practice of medicine in the United States dates back to colonial times early s. At the beginning of the 17th century, medical practice in England was divided into three groups: Physicians were seen as elite. They most often held a university degree.

In November members of the BMA voted to strike over their continuing disagreement with the government. After a number of strikes, a new contract was agreed in May Following two strikes in January and February the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, said he would introduce the new contract in August.
